My Childhoods mob and I wanted to ploughsh ar My vexs World I will be comparing and contrasting these two wonderful emotional rimes. Abraham Lincoln was born on Febuary 12, 1809, in Hardin County, Kentucky. Lincoln was atomic number 18 16th president. Sadly, on Good Friday, April 14, 1865, Lincoln was assassinated at Fords Theatre in Washington by John Wilkes Booth, an actor, who somehow thought he was helping the South. The opposite was the result, for with Lincolns death, the possibility of quiet with magnanimity died. In the spring of 1844 Abraham Lincoln wrote the metrical composition My Childhoods Home this poem is a very heart filled poem Abraham is explaining corking memories of his childhood home and when you read the poem you smelling like you argon there imaging everything he is saying. To me it seems he really enjoyed living there and had a lot of gravid memories. Although, Abrahams tone in this poem is filled with sad emotion. He reminisces about all the fun times he had and how they atomic number 18 all gone. For example, when Abraham says Where things decayed and loved ones lost he is talking about his house falling down and also the pot who were the closest to him baffle passed a dash. This house means so much to Abraham Lincoln. His mother Nancy Hanks and sister were both buried at the house. I really enjoyed reading this poem because in a way I can relate. I also had a favorite childhood home. So when I started reading the poem it do me reminisce about the home I fuck off up in. Just like Abraham I also have fond(p) memories and some bad ones to. In the end the good ones defiantly out way the bad. James Earl Carter, Jr. also have it off as Jimmy Carter was born October 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia. He was atomic number 18 39th president. Just like Abraham Lincoln, Jimmy Carter also wrot! e poerty.
